Renault Alpine A110 1/24
The main features of this new car were the use of a beam frame and a glass/polyester shell originally made in Chappe et Gessalin workshops. The position of the 4-cylinder cast-iron engine with 5 bearings in the rear overhang allows the weight to be balanced effectively. Equipped with two Weber twin barrel carburettors, the 1600 S model managed 125 DIN HP and achieved speeds of 215 km/h. The A110 quickly established itself as the benchmark for rally cars. From 1971 it became the most successful model, garnering numerous prestigious trophies including the famous Monte Carlo Rally. The A110 1660 S went on to be fitted with the Renault 16 TS engine.
