Team Suzuki ECSTAR GSX-RR '20 1/12
The Suzuki ECSTAR GSX-RR '20 was a bike which achieved the championship in the prestigious motorcycle road racing, MotoGP series in 2020.
With the name of Suzuki's hi-spec engine oil brand, ECSTAR, this bike featured a blue and silver scheme inspired by 1960s GP models, and was ridden by Joan Mir and Álex Rins. Mir stood on the podium seven times including a victory in the 13th European GP, and Rins secured third on the season with a win in the 11th Aragon GP.
Suzuki celebrated 2020 as the centenary of its establishment, and 60 years since its first foray into motorcycle road racing with their first MotoGP championship. Constantly developed from its debut in 2015, the Suzuki ECSTAR GSX-RR '20 employed a 1,000cc, water-cooled 4-stroke inline-4 engine capable of 340km/h maximum speed, and aerodynamic form.
It’s been five years since we last introduced a new MotoGP model into our 1/12 Motorcycle Series, do not miss this big chance!
- The honed form of the bike and its aerodynamics are faithfully captured in 1/12. Tires are solid synthetic rubber.
- The model can also be assembled as Alex Rins' No.42 bike. The front brake disc cover is depicted with accuracy.
- Wheelie-reducing winglets on either side of the front cowl are of course precision replicas in 1/12 scale.
- The Akrapovic exhaust features a twin end, with realistic renderings of the honeycomb mesh in each opening.
- The 1,000cc inline 4 engine is angled dramatically forwards. This kit depicts even its finer details.
- Screw-attached cowls can be removed after assembly. Internal air box and fuel tank are separate parts.
- The GSX-RR's distinctive lower fender, which allows air to flow onto and cool the rear tire, is recreated.
- Individual buttons on the handles are also captured, while the LCD display is depicted by a decal.
- Tank cover grip pads are different - clear pads or black stickers - depending upon the rider chosen.
- Separate parts are also used in the recreation of the on-board camera on the rear cowl of the bike.
- Comprehensive decal sheets are joined by masking stickers to aid in demarcation while painting cowls.
